Yeline Del Carmen is an abstract visual artist based in The Bronx, New York. Her works are a playful experimentation of mark making, bold colors, abstract patterns, repetition, and nature. She uses various mediums to customize tote bags, personalize cards for special occasions such as birthdays and Valentine’s day, paintings on canvases and wooden panels; as well as digital illustrations which sometimes become postcards, hair scarves, stickers, or posters. Many of Yeline’s pieces are inspired by Yayoi Kusama’s dot obsession and Basquiat’s chaotic yet intentional compositions. Yeline started an Instagram page, titled Another Dot. in 2020, as a way to creatively express herself and share her art with others. She also uses her platform to host virtual art sales, try new processes, and connect with other artists, ultimately fostering a space to explore art in community.
